GDA have recently enjoyed working directly with Annie Tempest, one of Britain’s best loved cartoonists, whose original talents have been used by one of GDAs’ clients, Urban Renaissance Villages for a unique national advertising Campaign.
Readers of Country Life Magazine will have undoubtedly been amused over the adventures of Lord and Lady Tottering of Tottering-by-Gently. With this in mind GDA worked closely with Annie and created two new characters George and his loving wife, Catherine, using the same humour!
The campaign focused on a retirement couple exhibiting an independent, adventurous attitude to life, doing things in their own way without worrying too much about what others thought.
The newly created Tempest characters depict various aspects of life at the URV retirement villages, such as the village shop, cleaning and gardening services, lock-up-and-leave benefits and parkland setting. All created with that bit of sharp but affectionate humour.
